Kalyana Karnataka Regional Improvement Board (KKRDB) Secretary Nalini Atul has directed officers to make elaborate preparations for the Kalyana Karnataka Utsav to be held in Kalaburagi on September 17.

Chairing a preparatory assembly on the KKRDB auditorium on Thursday, Mr. Atul mentioned that Chief Minister D.Ok. Shivakumar would go to Kalaburagi on September 16 and 17 to take part within the celebrations and inaugurate the principle programme. He directed the district administration to make all mandatory preparations for the occasion and guarantee sufficient police safety for dignitaries.

He requested district-level officers to work proactively, in coordination with the district administration, to make sure that the celebrations have been organised in a grand method.

Preparations must also be made for the inauguration and foundation-laying of varied growth works taken up with the help of the KKRDB in the course of the September 17 programme, he mentioned.

Mr. Atul directed numerous departments to place up tableaux highlighting round 11 themes, together with ‘Akshara Aavishkara’, ‘Arogya Aavishkara’, ‘Udyoga Aavishkara’ and ‘Aranya Aavishkara’. A programme for the distribution of varied authorities advantages must also be organised, he mentioned.
